Dear Prof. Dr. Subash Ranade, you are chairman of National Academy of Ayurveda, Pune, India and President of the biggest International Ayurveda Congress in Europe, on April 11/12 in Roermond, The Netherlands:
Why and how did this congress come into realization? What was the idea?

IAA had organized National conference at Rajkot, Gujrat, where Lothar Pirc was present as Key note speaker and again at Dubai where we had organized International Ayurveda and Yoga conference. Shri Girish ji Momaya of Maharshi AyurVeda was also present in Dubai. At both the times, it was felt that the research and knowledge of Maharshi AyurVeda should be brought into open for the betterment of Ayurvedic Physicians and people at large in the world and this can be done only by organizing International Ayurveda Conference in Europe.

What can participants expect from this congress? What is special about this congress?

Ayurvedic experts from all over the World are coming together to share their knowledge. Experts from South America e.g. Brazil, Argentina as well as from India are participating. Similarly Maharishi AyurVeda experts from USA, Nederland, Serbia, Italy, Germany, Russia, and Poland are also coming to share their experiences in the field of Ayurveda.

We are talking about a top-class expert conference. What about Ayurveda laymen who don’t have the in-depth-knowledge yet – does it make sense for them to participate and will they be able to benefit from this congress?

The conference is based on the main principle of Prevention and health and we will be discussing many problems facing with common people like ‘Life Style Diseases and their Prevention, Beauty care, Transcendental Meditation, Yoga experience which any common man can understand and benefit.

Policymakers and administrators in the field of health are invited to join the conference. Will they participate? What is your mission?

Ayurveda is facing various problems in EU countries lile import of Ayurvedic Medicines, Re-imbursement of consultations and treatment. The Policy Makers are invited so that they can understand this problem and can take some effective solutions for the same.

Will there be possibilities to get in contact and have discussions off-site the lecture and presentation program?

Certainly. If you want to discuss any specific topic with some person, you can take appointment and have discussion with the person.

How many participants do you expect?

We are expecting between 500 to 600 delegates.
