Famous and beloved Vaidya Dr. Triguna Maharishi Mahesh died

 

During his illustrious practicing career of 72 years he used to see about 500 people every day with meticulous diagnosis and several people would come to him after the experts of modern medicine have given up hope.
The ability of pulse diagnosis with, which he was able to diagnose the health condition of the present, past and future with accuracy was really amazing and his understanding of medicine also had no parallel.

Dr. Triguna was born in a Vedic Pundit family of Punjab, a state in North India and from the beginning was given the traditional education of Sanskrit and Jyotish by his father and later was sent to an Ayurveda teaching institution in Ludhiana, Punjab.
This institution was giving traditional ayurvedic education as per master, disciple relationship system which involved early morning visits to forests to collect herbs, process them to make various medicines, study of literature, clinical practice with the teacher and routine activities like looking after cows, cooking etc, of the institution, which would leave no time for anything else.



Several years of this undistracted focus created this personality for whom no disease was incurable.
It was Dr. Triguna who first proposed to Maharishi Mahesh Yogi to enter into the field of Ayurveda and when Maharishi Mahesh Yogi put his condition to set the objective for Ayurveda activities of the TM movement to be creation of disease free society amongst several doctors, scientists and vaidyas it was Dr. Triguna who confidently stood up and said yes it can be done.
Dr. Triguna along with other two vaidyas Dr.V.M. Dwivedi and Dr. Balraj Maharshi started working with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi to re-enliven the full glory of Ayurveda to achieve the objective set by
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. It was Dr. Triguna who insisted to name this activity as Maharishi Ayurveda.
He has always been encouraging to establish highest standards of system and quality of our products and has always been guiding us in creating highly effective products of Maharishi Ayurveda. Maharishi Amrit Kalash was his first creation for Maharishi Ayurveda.

Dr. Triguna was honored by several governments and reputed institutions around the world. Some of the major awards are:
Maharishi Award, Dhanwantari Award, Ayurveda Ratna etc, He was also honored twice with the highest civilian award of India i.e. Padma Bhushan & Padma Vibhushan by Government of India for his unparallel service to humanity.  He was also honorary physician to the President of India for several presidential terms.

Dr. Triguna himself was embodiment of Ayurveda who followed his daily routine till the end and has been seeing patients until the last days.
